A funny thing happened to me this morning when I came to work.
Not even 20 minutes after sitting on my desk, our VP & CEO stops by& says, “Get ready. You’re coming with us. We’re going to a tech convention right now & you will be helping us demo a product.”
Uhm, “Sure, why not?”, I said. “Oh, by the way, we’re leaving in 15 minutes.”, they added. Yikes!
So there I was, shocked & totally unprepared but up for the challenge nonetheless. “I can roll with this.”
The next thing I know, I’m being whisked away to the Santa Clara Convention Center & into the backstage, rehearsing my lines on the fly with our CEO & Ring Central’s VP of Engineering. A couple hours later, we were presenting on the main stage.
